In recent years, procedures in Interventional Pneumology have assumed a primary role in the care pathways of most respiratory diseases.
Recent technological innovations have further expanded the role of bronchoscopy, allowing therapeutic interventions even in chronic obstructive diseases, the biopsy approach of small peripheral lesions and the acquisition of increasingly representative biopsy samples and finally allowing a complete endoscopic exploration of the mediastinum.
However, the increasing training process in Interventional Pneumology cannot leave out of consideration a first phase of observation of the procedures, in order to be able to acquire practical examples of the use of instruments and methods.
The Italian Thoracic Society - Italian Association of Hospital Pneumologists (ITS-AIPO), under the sponsorship of WABIP, promotes a series of webinar in order to discuss live case reports from the endoscopy suite of the A.O.U. Ospedali Riuniti of Ancona, with a possibility of interaction through questions from learners.
The program includes the transmission of live cases on the following topics:
lung cancer, peripheral lung lesions, expansive mediastinal processes, inflammatory lung diseases, diffuse infiltrative lung diseases, airway obstructing lesions, neoplastic and non-neoplastic pleuropathies.
The aim is to show different procedures that must constitute the baggage of every Pulmonologist who wants to dedicate himself to the fascinating field of Interventional Pulmonology.
